Getting To Know The Band Aid Brow Lift

Some patients need only a modest tweak to their appearance in order to enjoy the aesthetic results that they desire, and minimally invasive procedures like my Band Aid Brow Lift can often be just the thing. While it may not be quite as in-demand as eyelid surgery, undergoing a brow lift can provide incredible rejuvenation to the forehead and area above the eyes for those who are candidates. Today, I thought it would be helpful to go into more detail on the Band Aid Brow Lift and the benefits that it can provide patients.

Over time, it’s natural for the skin above the eyes to loosen and sag. This sagging can lead to dramatic wrinkling that can make a person look far older than their age. I use the Band Aid Brow Lift to effectively lift this excess or loose skin above the eyes, and reposition the brow muscle to their natural position, which in turn allows the eyebrows to retain a more youthful, attractive, and arched shape. The results of a Band Aid Brow Lift will begin to materialize just days after the procedure has been concluded.

Much like a traditional brow lift procedure, the anti-aging results achieved are outstanding and meant to be long-lasting. However, the procedure methods differ in how they are actually performed. During a Band Aid Brow Lift, I make a series of smaller incisions (instead of one larger one) that are concealed within the hairline. This procedure method may not be ideal for every patient, but it can work wonders for those with more modest wrinkling and loose skin in the forehead area.

In fact, most patients are able to resume their normal daily activities like work and school in just a few days after their procedure. Thanks to modern technology and communication, there is more easily accessible information about eyelid surgery available to patients than ever before. And while this can be a great resource for people trying to research the procedure, there is also a surplus of wrong or misleading information to sift through. That’s why, as a double board-certified plastic surgeon, I thought I could help by talking through some common myths about eyelid surgery.

Myth #1: Eyelid Surgery Is Only For The Wealthy

This is absolutely false. Plastic surgery has never been more accessible and inclusive in terms of cost and eyelid surgery is not something that patients should expect to break the bank. I perform this procedure in-office to help allay hospital and anesthesia fees commonly associated with plastic surgery. I also offer plastic surgery financing for patients who would prefer to break up their eyelid surgery costs into smaller, interest-free payments (for those who qualify).

Myth #2: Eyelid Surgery Results Can Be Achieved Without Surgery

We’ve seen incredible advancements in non-surgical cosmetic treatments in recent years, but nothing that can replicate the results of eyelid surgery. In the world of plastic surgery, there’s no such thing as “forever.” Changes that a person’s face experiences over time, including those due to natural aging, can lead to additional signs of facial aging after eyelid surgery. However, eyelid surgery results are intended to be very long-lasting and the fear of natural aging over time should not be a deterrent for anyone who considers themself a good candidate for the procedure.

It has been incredibly gratifying through the years to meet so many wonderful patients and help them achieve the aesthetic enhancements they need to feel better about themselves and how they look. On this note, I wanted to announce that I am honored to have been named a Top Doctor in Atlanta in the field of Plastic Surgery by Castle Connolly once again for 2024.

Castle Connolly is an independent, physician-led group who identifies and highlights the best healthcare providers around the country in a wide array of fields. This includes plastic surgery and over 50 other general medicine and specialty areas. The vetting process uses a number of relevant criteria such as board-certification, reputation, peer recommendation, contributions to their field, and experience to determine the most exceptional physicians. This is now the eighth consecutive year that I have been recognized as one of the top plastic surgeons in Atlanta, but I do not take the honor for granted.
