Age Gracefully with Non-Surgical Rejuvenation Treatments

As a double board certified plastic surgeon, I frequently meet with patients who feel “stuck in the middle”—they’re unhappy with the effect that aging has begun to have on their appearance, but their aging has not progressed enough to warrant a facelift. Fortunately, patients who fall into this category aren’t “stuck.” In fact, I offer several treatments that provide noticeable anti-aging results with an even gentler touch than my minimally-invasive Band Aid surgical procedures.

These columns of light gently perforate and remove damaged tissue from the outermost layer of skin while simultaneously increasing the body’s production of collagen. This new collagen causes the surface skin to become smoother and firmer, so that signs of aging (such as fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots) are minimized and the face has a natural but rejuvenated appearance. As a bonus, this procedure can be performed in my office with only gentle numbing, so the recovery time is minimal.

A second non-surgical procedure that can successfully take years off a patient’s appearance is Band Aid Skin Tightening. Unlike Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing, this treatment is non-ablative, which means that the surface skin is not removed or perforated, so it can be performed in my office with no anesthesia or downtime. By utilizing a unique energy flow control (EFC) system called Protégé, controlled heat energy is sent precisely into the targeted skin. This enhances the skin’s natural production of collagen, which makes the skin firmer and greatly diminishes the appearance of lax, aging skin and wrinkles.

Procedures like these, which are non-surgical and either minimally-invasive or non-invasive, can put an end to the waiting game for patients who are experiencing enough aging to make them unsatisfied with their appearance, yet not enough to make a Band Aid Facelift necessary.
