Each year, the team at double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. John L. LeRoy‘s office likes to show their thanks for the continued support with a social media charity contest.  For the last two decades, your loyalty has allowed us to perform cosmetic surgery and anti-aging treatments for Atlanta-area patients, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of each and every one of you!

To show our gratitude, it’s that time again for us to give back.  Now through Friday, October 3rd, 2014 you can nominate a local, Atlanta-area non-profit of your choice to win a $1,000 donation.  After the nomination deadline, as one of our Facebook fans you will have the chance to vote for one of the top four charity finalists that we select through a survey until 12pm on Monday, October 20th, 2014.

This charity contest has been a great success and we are excited to see the wonderful organizations nominated by our fans and patient base.   Remember—we will hold this contest again so don’t give up if your charity isn’t chosen this time!  To enter the charity contest, follow the simple instructions below and keep an eye on our blog and social media for the latest plastic surgery news and information including the winner announcement on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014.

How to Enter the Charity Contest:

1.) Go to Dr. LeRoy’s Facebook fan page and “Like” the page if you don’t already.

2.)  Find the post pinned to the top of the page instructing you to enter the contest.

3.)  Under the photo, comment with the name of the charity you are nominating and why you think they deserve a $1,000 donation from our office.  Entries MUST be 50 words or less.

4.) Nominations will close on October 3rd, 2014 and we will select the top four charities based on how the group has impacted the nominator and ability for the resources to go to a good use.

5.) Fans will then have the chance to vote for their favorite of the top four charities through a survey on our Facebook page until October 20th, 2014.  The winning charity with the most votes will be announced on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 on our blog and social media.

What’s required of you?

Entry into our charity donation contest is absolutely free!  Every qualifying charity* that is nominated will receive free publicity on our blog and social media profiles to further support their mission.  The winning charity will also collect a $1,000 donation in their nominators’ name.

October 6th, 2014:  Voting begins to select winner from top four charity finalists.

October 20th, 2014:  Voting closes for Dr. LeRoy’s Facebook contest survey. 

October 21st, 2014: Winning charity to receive $1,000 donation will be announced.

*Contest Rules:

To nominate the charity of your choice through our contest, the following criteria must be met:

• Hold a 501 (c)(3) non-profit distinction
• Charities must be in Georgia
• Nominators must be over the age of 18
• Nominators may only suggest one charity
• Charities must contribute to a greater good identifiable through a published mission statement
• Once a charity wins a donation, they may only win once
