All About Arm Lifts
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ve noticed that I focus many of my blogs on facial rejuvenation for patients who want to look younger. But as we’ve all experienced, aging doesn’t just happen from the neck up. One of the most common issues people notice as they get older is sagging skin throughout their upper arm – some of my patients have referred to this as “bat wings.” Despite dubious claims you may find online, exercise won’t tighten your skin. The only way exercise can help with sagging skin is by building up the underlying muscle so much that it fills out the skin, so unless you’re an aspiring body-builder, only medical treatments will be able to effectively treat sagging skin.
The most powerful way to get slimmer, younger-looking arms is with a surgical arm lift or my minimally invasive Band Aid Arm Lift. To learn more about this option, check out my infographic below.
As with any cosmetic surgery, deciding whether to have an arm lift is a balancing act. It’s all about defining your cosmetic goals and finding out whether you’re a candidate. The first step is a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to learn more about the procedure and whether it’s the right fit for your needs. To get started, schedule a consultation with me, Dr. John LeRoy. For more helpful facts about arm lifts and other cosmetic surgery procedures, follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
