Special offers for facial rejuvenation are the perfect way to reduce wrinkles and sagging skin, keep your facelift results looking their best, or enhance the results of a recent face lift at Atlanta double board certified plastic surgeon, John L. Leroy, MD, FACS office.
When asked why they chose the medical field, most doctors will talk about their passion for helping people. This is certainly true for Dr. John LeRoy. But as fulfilling as it is to see the smile on a patient’s face when they feel confident for the first time in years, he also enjoys helping those who are beyond the reach of his cosmetic surgery office. That’s why he began holding his social media charity contests four years ago. And today, the tradition continues with his Summer 2017 Charity Contest, focusing this time on veterans and military personnel.
How Dr. John LeRoy’s Charity Contest Works
Our charity contests have two stages: nomination and voting. Between now and August 4th, 2017, anyone can nominate their favorite nonprofit organization via Dr. John LeRoy’s Facebook page. When all the nominations are in, we’ll evaluate them and select four finalists. These finalists will be announced on August 7th, and you’ll then be able to vote for a winner until August 18th, 2017. The winning charity will be announced on August 21st, 2017 and will receive a $1,000 donation from our office. It’s as simple as that!
Each charity contest we host also has a specific theme. For instance, our last contest focused on children’s charities. The theme for our Summer 2017 contest is local veterans and military personnel. All of us at the office of John L. LeRoy, MD are grateful for all our past and present military service members, and we have chosen to make them the very deserving focus of our latest charity contest.

As a double board-certified plastic surgeon, I have an appreciation for the way seemingly small improvements (like fewer wrinkles) can have a powerfully positive impact on a person’s life. But there are members of our community whose needs extend far beyond a confidence boost, and at the plastic surgery offices of Dr. John LeRoy, we strongly believe in giving back to our community by offering help to those in need. That’s why we hold four social media charity contest each year to identify Georgia-based organizations who can use our donation to serve their neighbors. We’re happy to announce that our Summer 2016 charity contest will begin on Thursday, July 21st.
How do Dr. John LeRoy’s charity contests work?
Our charity contests take place in two stages: nomination and voting. First, we’ll spend a few weeks collecting nominations from our social media followers on the John LeRoy, MD Facebook page. There is no limit to the number of charities which can be nominated, but on August 8th, we’ll announce up to four finalists and we’ll post a poll on our Facebook page where you can vote for a final winner. The winning charity will be announced on Monday, August 22nd, 2016 and will receive a $1,000 donation to further their valuable mission.
How can I get involved in the charity contest?
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to participate! The first step is to nominate a non-profit organization by simply visiting our Facebook page between July 21st and August 5th, 2016 and commenting on the post at the top of our page (the one inviting you to submit your nomination). Be sure to “Like” our Facebook page (if you haven’t already) and follow Dr. John LeRoy on Twitter so you can keep an eye on the nomination process and stay informed when the voting stage begins. You can nominate any charity which meets these criteria:
The charity must hold a 501(c)(3) non-profit distinction or be a valid and charitable crowdfunding page.
The charity must be in Georgia.
The nominator must be at least 16 years of age.
Each nominator may only nominate one charity.
The charity must contribute to a greater good, identifiable through a published mission statement.
The charity may not be a previous charity contest winner (recent winners include Little Nuggets Rescue, The Mastocytosis Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Atlanta Humane Society, and Atlanta S.E.E.D.s).
At our plastic surgery office, one of the most satisfying parts of our job is seeing patients who are thrilled with their cosmetic surgery results and feel the burden of self-consciousness lifted from their shoulders. In the same way, we want to lift the burdens of our other neighbors in need, whether those burdens include illnesses, poverty, or other issues. We look forward to working with all of you to make Georgia a better, happier, and safer home for us all.
The process of selecting a plastic surgeon can be overwhelming. It’s an important decision which can have a profound effect on your life. Atlanta has no shortage of plastic and cosmetic surgeons, but there’s so much information to compare, such as board certification, education, amount and quality of experience, specialties, awards, and much more. But all too often, patients get so focused on the credentials that they forget another important part of the mix: the surgeon’s overall doctor-patient compatibility with you. For instance, do you prefer a physician who’s blunt and to-the-point, or one who’s more sensitive to your emotions? Do your surgeon’s plastic surgery before and after photos show that you have the same opinions of what a successful result looks like? Are you comfortable enough with the surgeon that you feel able to ask all your questions and have them answered thoroughly?
Finding out your doctor-patient compatibility is one of the reasons why an in-person consultation is so crucial. But the good news is that you can start the process of learning about your surgeon at home. Most surgeons will have before and after photos from previous patients available for you to evaluate. But because I believe so strongly in the importance of patients and doctors being on the same page, I’ve also created several videos about my cosmetic surgery practice, my specialty, my history, and more, to help potential patients get to know me. The video below explains the philosophy I live by every day in my plastic surgery practice.
Plastic surgery has allowed millions of people to live their lives without the self-consciousness that once weighed them down, but the best way to get the results you want is not to rush the process. Take the time you need to educate yourself, learn about your options, and identify the right surgeon for you. In fact, some of my patients had consultations with two or three other plastic surgeons before me. If you want to start discussing how I may be able to help you become your most confident and beautiful self, schedule a plastic surgery consultation with me, Dr. John L. LeRoy. Or, to stay up-to-date on the latest news from our practice and the world of plastic surgery, follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
