Getting To Know The Band Aid Brow Lift
Minimally invasive plastic surgery techniques like my signature line of Band Aid procedures have opened up a whole new avenue for cosmetic surgery patients. Some patients need only a modest tweak to their appearance in order to enjoy the aesthetic results that they desire, and minimally invasive procedures like my Band Aid Brow Lift can often be just the thing. While it may not be quite as in-demand as eyelid surgery, undergoing a brow lift can provide incredible rejuvenation to the forehead and area above the eyes for those who are candidates. Today, I thought it would be helpful to go into more detail on the Band Aid Brow Lift and the benefits that it can provide patients.
Over time, it’s natural for the skin above the eyes to loosen and sag. This sagging can lead to dramatic wrinkling that can make a person look far older than their age. I use the Band Aid Brow Lift to effectively lift this excess or loose skin above the eyes, and reposition the brow muscle to their natural position, which in turn allows the eyebrows to retain a more youthful, attractive, and arched shape. The results of a Band Aid Brow Lift will begin to materialize just days after the procedure has been concluded.
Much like a traditional brow lift procedure, the anti-aging results achieved are outstanding and meant to be long-lasting. However, the procedure methods differ in how they are actually performed. During a Band Aid Brow Lift, I make a series of smaller incisions (instead of one larger one) that are concealed within the hairline. This procedure method may not be ideal for every patient, but it can work wonders for those with more modest wrinkling and loose skin in the forehead area.
Because it is performed in my office under gentle numbing, recovery after a Band Aid Brow Lift is incredibly simple and straightforward for patients. In fact, most patients are able to resume their normal daily activities like work and school in just a few days after their procedure. While some extra time may be needed before patients can resume vigorous exercise or heavy lifting, I will discuss these timetables at length during the pre-surgery consultation.
For anyone interested in undergoing a brow lift procedure, either of the traditional or Band Aid variety, the first step is consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and learn more about these procedures in-person.
