Georgia charity grants

Most doctors, surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals will tell you that they chose the healthcare field because they wanted to help people, and Dr. John LeRoy did as well. But on top of helping his patients find a new self-confidence and youthful energy on a daily basis at his plastic surgery practice, Dr. LeRoy also extends his helping hands much farther. Every year, Dr. LeRoy holds several social media charity contests in order to find the local charities who are making a powerful difference in the community and who can put a $1,000 donation to great use. It’s that time of year again, because Dr. LeRoy’s Fall 2017 Social Media Charity Contest has just begun.

In order to benefit a variety of causes, Dr. LeRoy chooses a different category for each contest. This fall, the category is cancer-related organizations. The contest has a nomination phase and a voting phase, so here’s how it works:

1. Go to John LeRoy’s Facebook page between October 19^th and November 3^rd, 2017. Find the post at the top of the page that invites you to nominate an organization for the Fall 2017 Charity Contest.
2. Comment on that post with the name of your favorite Georgia organization that helps cancer patients, whether it funds research, promotes awareness, offers financial assistance, or manages a combination of projects. In order to be eligible, your nomination must meet the following criteria:

• The organization must belong to the designated category—the fall 2017 category is “cancer-related charities”. Organizations in other categories will not be eligible to win.
• The charity must hold a 501(c)(3) non-profit distinction or be a valid and charitable crowdfunding page.
• The charity must be in Georgia.
• Each nominator may only nominate one charity.
• The charity must contribute to a greater good, identifiable through a published mission statement.
• The charity may not be a previous charity contest winner (recent winners include Genesis JOY House Homeless Shelter, The Tree House Inc., Remembering Ruthie Rescue, and Calvary Children’s Home).

3. From these nominees, we will select up to four finalists, and they will be announced on John LeRoy‘s Facebook page on November 6^th, 2017.
4. Between November 6^th and November 17^th, 2017, visit Dr. LeRoy’s Facebook page. The post at the top of the page will have a link where you can vote for a final winner. Each person will only be able to vote once, so be sure to tell your friends and family to vote, too!
5. The winning charity will be announced on Dr. LeRoy’s Facebook page on November 20^th, 2017, and will receive a $1,000 donation.

These charity contests give Dr. LeRoy even more than an opportunity to give back. They give him a way to connect with the Atlanta area community, and they provide a platform where smaller, local charities can make their voices heard. All of us at Dr. LeRoy’s cosmetic surgery practice would be honored for each of you to be a part of it.
